How does Enlighten® work?

The enlighten system is an industry-leading platform for tattoo removal and benign pigmented lesions. It is the first system on the market to feature both nanosecond and picosecond pulse durations and the ideal blend of parameters – the correct wavelengths, the correct spot sizes, and the correct energy levels – to effectively address unwanted pigment and ink.

How many sessions are required?

The number of sessions required to remove a tattoo is unique to each person. Varying factors such as body location, skin pigment, the age of the tattoo and the colours and density of the ink all are taken into consideration. During your complimentary consultation, a prediction of how many treatments necessary will be provided after the tattoo has been evaluated. For complete removal an average of 5-10 treatments are needed.

Will the tattoo be completely removed?

Of course this is the end goal! While most clients see complete removal, some ink colours are more difficult to remove than others. During your complimentary consultation expected results will be discussed in detail.

Is it painful?

Mild discomfort may be experienced with your treatment. The treatment is delivered in laser pulses which are described by clients to feel like the snapping of an elastic band against your skin with heat. The snapping feeling is temporary during treatment, the hot sensation may persist for a few hours after treatment. Complimentary consultations available.
